Luke Zimmerman

My passion is helping teens, young adults, and their families navigate life's challenges. Whether you’re struggling with school, anxiety, depression, identity, or relationships, I strive to create a space where it feels safe to share your story.
As a graduate of the UC Davis Children's Hospital CAARE Center Trauma Training Academy, I have experience supporting survivors of childhood sexual abuse, physical abuse, neglect, assault, and other traumatic experiences. I have specialized training in the treatment of childhood PTSD and believe that healing from trauma happens best in a space built on safety, trust, and compassion. My approach is gentle, collaborative, and always guided by each client's readiness and goals.
Being born and raised in Auburn, I care deeply about serving the young people and families of Placer County. Growing up in this unique rural community gives me an appreciation for both its strengths and the challenges that can come with finding support, especially for LGBTQ+ and other marginalized individuals. My goal is to provide a welcoming, affirming environment where clients can build resilience, develop practical coping skills, and discover greater confidence in themselves.
Whether you're a teen trying to make sense of who you are, a young adult navigating life's transitions, or a parent looking for support for your child, I'd be honored to be part of your team. Whether you feel most comfortable meeting in our cozy office, on a local hiking trail, or via telehealth, I’ll meet you where you are so we can take it one step at a time, together.
