Kristin Kaminski - PsyD

Hello! I am Dr. Kristin Kaminski, but you can call me Kristin. I am a Doctor of Psychology and the Director here at Support For Your Life. I've been in private practice for nine years and am passionate about helping people of all ages find more confidence and contentment. Whether I'm meeting with an 18-month-old for an autism evaluation, someone in their 20s, 30s, or 40s who is navigating a loss or big change in their life, or a client who is 98-years-old and struggling with depression, I love being able to meet clients where they are and work through challenges together.
When I've asked clients to describe their experience of working with me, some say that "Kristin 101" is learning how to find moderation (even with moderation)— learning how to move through life without relying on extremes, and practicing finding the middle ground.
I'm passionate about helping individuals and families navigate through tough times. I have four main areas that truly light me up:
First, I love working with kids, teens, and their parents. It's incredibly rewarding to support them through their unique challenges. Second, I specialize in helping people recover from narcissistic relationships, whether they're adults or children. Third, I enjoy working with clients to rewire their brains and change tricky or overwhelming emotional reactions. I use a mix of experiential interventions, mindfulness, and coping tools in my sessions with both adults and adolescents. And last but not least, I get a lot of fulfillment from doing neuropsychological and psychological assessments for all ages. I geek out on brain science, I really do!
I have specialized training in Neuropsychology, Pediatric Psychology, Play Therapy, Attachment, Redecision Therapy, and DBT for both groups and individuals and more. I also have experience in assessments for Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, Pediatric Neuropsychology, Dementia, and other neurocognitive disorders.
Starting something new can feel daunting, but I encourage you to give it a go with just one session and see how it feels. We can sit on the couch or take a walk and talk—whatever feels right for you.
